This event is presented by NABHOOD, Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Black Meetings & Tourism Magazine, HVS Caribbean and Horizons Marketing Group and supported by the Bahamas Hotel Association, Institute of Bahamian Architects and Bahamas Chamber of Commerce. This event will bring together local and international investors along with manufacturers, suppliers and industry representatives who are looking to do business in the lodging and hospitality sector in The Bahamas. The theme is “Working Together to Create Opportunities”. The summit is sponsored by Hilton Worldwide, Marriott International, Uptown Magazine, Ferguson “a Wolseley Company”, Hotel Business and Lodging Hospitality Magazine. The summit is designed to educate attendees on how to become a hotel owner or investor, how to provide goods & services, share travel trends and about opportunities available in the hospitality industry. It will open on Thursday November 19 with private meetings between local business people and industry representatives followed by the opening reception, with general sessions, workshops, luncheon and trade show on Friday the 20th. A Golf Outing at the Cable Beach Golf Club will be held on Saturday, the 21st. Attendees will include investors, developers, hoteliers, entrepreneurs, hospitality & tourism representatives, architects, interior designers, manufacturer representatives and others. “This is a great opportunity to learn about the industry and meet potential partners,” said Mike Roberts, Chairman of NABHOOD and owner of 14 hotels in the United States.
